Golf Mk4 (A4 / Typ 1J, 1997-2003)
Golf Mk4 was first introduced in August 1997, followed by the sedan Volkswagen Jetta in August 1998 and the Volkswagen Golf Variant station wagon in March 1999 There is no convertible version of the Mk4.

Golf MK7 (A7 / Typ -, 2013-)
Latest Volkswagen Golf in 2013 will be slightly larger than the Golf Mk6 but with a lower weight of 100 kg. Its GTI version will be equipped with a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine capable of issuing power 217 hp, with an additional kit version that is capable of spraying power up to 227 hp.
